The Kuku Nyumbani Initiative
Empowering rural communities through sustainable poultry farming, with a focus on women and youth to enhance health, nutrition, and economic stability.
Transforming Rural Poultry Farming Across Africa
Founded in 2018, the Kuku Nyumbani Initiative was established to address the challenges faced by small-scale poultry farmers in rural communities. Our comprehensive approach combines modern farming techniques, market access, and community support to create sustainable livelihoods.
We believe that poultry farming offers a unique opportunity for rural households, particularly those led by women and youth, to achieve economic independence while improving nutrition and food security in their communities.
Sustainable Practices: We promote environmentally friendly farming methods that reduce waste and maximize resources.
Community-Centered: Our programs are designed with and for the communities we serve, ensuring cultural relevance and local ownership.
Technology Integration: We leverage appropriate technologies to improve productivity and connect farmers to markets.
